my unit had substantial damage do to our roofs being redone, the council feels they don't want to pay for it. i
m pissed and seeing a lawer next weak, i cant beleive the problem with following the laws set forth,i'm going to roast them,wish you could be there.

Wouldn't it be the responsibility of the roofing company to cover damage as a result of the work they did?

let us know what the result is. If the Strata Corp hired the roofer and the work was not done correctly then the Strata would be responsible for going after the contractor for the repairs I would think.

Take a video and pics leepmax, and don't forget to record all the complaints that you have made "in writing", and who you have spoken to, to address your problem. May not sound promising, but get some legal advice if you can't get the Strata Counc. to act on your behalf. Your documentation will prove very valuable in court if it comes to that. In a perfect world, they should be looking into the damages immediately, especially after you tell them you are seeking legal remedy.
