Hi there.
My Strata has a Bylaw that states I cannot lease my condo for a period of less than 9 months. I have a potential tenant that wishes to lease for 6 months and he's willing to pay over the odds in return for the shorter term. I'm tempted by the money but what if someone finds out that I've broken the Strata Bylaw?
Please help.

I have a potential renter but we are over the rental limit, even though my neighbour has been given rental status, but this unit has been vacant for months as the owner has gone overseas and comes back now and again, and she had a family staying only for a few weeks for medical reasons. I have sent a letter requesting that I rent mine out under the hardship cause and the only answer I have received that it will be discussed at the next meeting and that was over a month. I had a rental but my ex moved into this one over 2 years can I keep this as a rental still and use if for my unit .We have a levy as well as city landlease being negioated and just gone through a divorce so I cant see how they can deny me based on this. I plan to move to my daughters place as she also lives in the complex. Any suggestions or comments or a good lawyer in case I need.
